NDCR is part of the Cristo Rey Network, a growing association of 39 schools across the United States whose education model is built around the Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP), a unique and highly successful partnership with the business community. Through the CWSP, each of our scholars works five full days per month during the academic year at one of 75 companies throughout the Merrimack Valley, I-93/495 corridors, and southern New Hampshire. Use developmentally and behaviorally age-appropriate tools, materials, activities.Maintain all pertinent records in PowerSchool.Create a safe, purposeful classroom environment that prioritizes learning for all students.NDCR_Social Studies Teacher2 | P a g eDesign and create appropriate lesson plans. Implement the Social Studies curriculum aligned with the Cristo Rey Network Standards and National Council of the Social Studies curriculum. Collaborate with other teachers, instructional leaders, and partners to ensure instruction is meeting the needs of all students.Assess students regularly, analyze data, and determine appropriate next steps for instruction.Build relationships and communicate regularly with students and their families to solicit input and share academic progress.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Teachers must possess: 1) Bachelor’s degree in History, Political Science, or a related field; master’s degree preferred 2) Experience teaching in a Catholic high school preferred 3) Willingness to promote the vision and values of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur 4) Knowledgeable, sensitive, and inclusive of all cultures, in particular those served by NDCR Ability to speak Spanish a plusIf interested, please send a thoughtful cover letter and resume to our Human Resources Department at hr@ndcrhs.org
